If you remember this video, you will be happy to hear that on
this date Friday, April 12, 2013, Bedford Nh police issued an arrest warrant for
Charles Normil, age 32, in connection with a Home Invasion that occurred in
their city in November of 2012. This is that same suspect that was charged with
a violent home invasion in our City of Methuen. In an effort to
prosecute all those involved, Methuen Detectives have been working with Bedford
Nh Detectives on both of these cases.
The
Methuen incident occured on December 14, 2012. At approximately 11:15 am,
Methuen police responded to an armed home invasion at an apartment on Grove St
in Methuen. During the home invasion a female victim was brutally beaten and
loss the use of her eye. Detectives worked diligently on this case and
identified a suspect, Charles Normil age 32, from Lawrence Ma. Three days after
the incident, Charles Normil was arrested on a warrant for parole violation and
was subsequently charged with the Methuen home invasion.
Due
to comprehensive collaboration efforts between Methuen and Bedford Police,
Charles Normil is in custody in Massachusetts and is not a threat.
