PRESS RELEASE MASKED ARMED
BANK ROBBERY
On Thursday February 21, 2013 at approximately 6:30 PM MPD
officers were detailed to the TD Bank on Rt. 28 (547 Broadway) in Methuen for a
reported armed robbery.
The unknown white male suspect entered the store wearing a full
face mask and gray sweatshirt and then brandished a handgun. The suspect
approached the teller and obtained an undetermined amount of money before
fleeing the bank. The Suspect fled in a
white Nissan unknown make and registration which was occupied by two other
subjects. The vehicle fled South on Rt. 28 towards Lawrence, MA.
MPD detectives and Mass state police crime scene services are
investigation. Methuen detective Sergeant
Smith is heading the investigation.
