On Saturday December 17, 2011 at approximately 3:00 AM
officers were dispatched to an armed robbery and armed assault in progress on
Elm St. at the Elm Crest Apartments. Upon arrival one male victim was
found seriously injured. The first officer on the scene, Officer Helman observed
suspects fleeing and chased the suspects on foot. The suspects were
cornered in an area yard and the officer held the suspects at gun point
awaiting assistance. With the assistance of officer Moore the suspects who were
both armed with loaded firearms were taken into custody. It was later determined
that the victim was the owner of a nightclub in Lawrence, Ma. Lawrence
police were requested for mutual aid and attended to the victim.
