On Tuesday morning at
approximately 6:05 am, the Methuen Police Department Special Operations Unit,
along with the Narcotics Unit, executed a search warrant at 109 Center Street,
Apt 4. The warrant was issued as a result of an investigation by
the Narcotics Unit.
As a result of this
search warrant, Jose Ivan Rivera (age 27) of Methuen, was arrested and charged
with Trafficking in Fentanyl (170 grams), Trafficking in Cocaine (58 grams) and
Possession of a Class B Substance (Crack Cocaine) with the Intent to Distribute
(6 grams). Detectives also seized two (2) cellular telephones and
$1,872.00 in US Currency. Mr. Rivera was released from Federal Custody
just over a year ago for drug trafficking charges and is still on Federal Parole.
He was booked on the above criminal charges and was held on $500,000 cash bail.
