On
04/13/12 at approximately 1230 hours the Methuen Police Departments Narcotics
and Gangs Unit conducted a search and arrest warrant at 105 Boston Street 3rd
floor. Based on intelligence gained this entry was considered to be a high risk
warrant service. Therefore entry to the
residence was gained by the N.E.M.L.E.C. Swat Team. Also assisting in the
investigation and subsequent search was the Groveland Police Department, the
Essex County Sheriffs Department and the Methuen Police Department Patrol and
Detective Divisions.
The
following two subjects were arrested-
Janet
Nunez d.o.b. 08/16/71 105 Boston Street 3rd Floor.
Charges-Warrant
for distribution of class B substance (cocaine) and distribution of class B
substance (cocaine) in a school zone. Based
on the service of the search warrant, she will be additional charged with trafficking
in a class B substance (cocaine) and trafficking in a class B substance
(cocaine) in a school zone.
Miguelangel
Tejada d.o.b. 04/08/70 105 Boston Street 3rd Floor.
Charges-Warrant
for two counts of distribution of a class B substance (cocaine) and two counts
of distribution of a class B substance (cocaine) in a school zone. Based on the
service of the search warrant he will be additionally charged with trafficking
in a class B substance (cocaine) and trafficking in a class B substance
(cocaine) in a school zone.
Both
subjects were arrested and booked at the Methuen Police Department. Detectives
recovered a combination of powder and crack cocaine totaling 126.3 grams and
$2,000 in U.S. currency.
This is
the result of an undercover investigation involving the above named department which was lead by Task Force Officer William Castro from the Essex County Sheriffs Office.
All
subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
